Jennifer Vera

Dietitian and Nutritionist

Jennifer Vera, BSc, MS, is a licensed and accredited practicing dietitian and nutritionist. 

Special interests: diabetes, gut health, food intolerances, heart health and the management of chronic disease.

Overview

Upon completing her education at the University of Wollongong, Jennifer has had varied work experience in both regional and metropolitan locations and a variety of settings, including Broken Hill Health Service and Top Ryde Royal Rehabilitation Centre. Jennifer has worked at both Liverpool Hospital and Randwick Sydney Children’s hospitals, as well as in a consultancy capacity at All-Round Nutrition.

Jennifer has experience working with many individuals with different goals including; pregnant and postpartum clients, aged care, and children.

Jennifer has a special interest in gut health and the direct positive impact on health outcomes simply from eating a nutrient-dense diet.

Jennifer is a life-long learner and wants to continuously learn more about nutrition and help more people with dietary restrictions as well as expand her volunteer work.

Approach

Jennifer believes life is to be lived and food is to be enjoyed. She focuses on transforming her patient’s health through the power of a great meal and striking a balanced lifestyle, whilst appreciating the social and cultural aspect of food and nutrition.  

As a health coach in the area of nutrition, Jennifer places emphasis on the importance of a balanced lifestyle, promotes healthy eating practices and equips her patients with actionable goals to set them up for success.

Jennifer helps her patients identify food triggers and creating a healthy eating routine tailored to their lifestyles, whilst providing food education/counselling to combat certain eating behaviors or habits.
